We just wanted to take a minute to say MERRY CHRISTMAS to everyone!!!
Our winter stay here in Casa Grande has been a pretty cool and wet one so far compared to previous years but we are making the best of it. Don’t get me wrong, we are still in shorts and Tee-shirts during the day but it has been pretty cool during the evening and morning ours.
Of course we are playing Pickleball pretty much every day and even though hampered a couple times by adverse weather we are still getting in our Saturday night casual play followed by some time around the fire.
And we have started booking one room or another for game night one night per week, normally Thursday nights, were a group of us gather to play Swoop.
We are of course still doing our usual Wing Night out on the town either at Buffalo Wild Wings or a place called Dell’s Pizza one night per week where normally close to a dozen of us show up.
Diane is still getting together with the girls 2 days per week for some games, Mahjong one day and Mexican Train the other.
And Diane has decided to work the Pickleball Welcome Desk after all even with the use of the new computer system. I guess she is becoming techy LOL!!!
Our friends Kellie & Chris threw a pot luck get together one afternoon at their new pad in the park.
Lots of good food, lots of friends and lots of laughs were had by all.
And we got together with our friends Chuck and Kara one evening and attended the 25th annual Electric Light Parade.
The event actually starts at 2 in the afternoon but we normally go find a place to park about 4:30 or 5, then go have an early dinner and then grab our chairs out of the car and find a spot to sit along the street and watch the parade that normally lasts for a couple hours.
Oh, and the park we are staying at and some of the individual people have gotten into the Christmas spirit and have done some decorating for the holidays.
Diane and I not so much BUT we have decorated more this year than we have in probably 15 years LOL!!
Christmas is both our least favorite holidays of the entire year and we normally just try to ignore it and stay out of the hoopla for the most part. Too much greed and too much unnecessary stress “unless of course children are involved”.
Speaking of Christmas, its Christmas Eve and its Tuesday and Tuesdays are Two for One wing night. I guess I know how we will spend Christmas Eve this year, with friends over plates of wings LOL!!!
Well that’s it for now, have a great Holiday Season!!
