We had a nice stay in Eugene but it’s time to move on.

Coming to Eugene has served its purpose as far as having work done on the coach plus we have had a nice stay at the Armitage Country Park in Eugene but it’s time to lift our jacks and make a move.

That's our spot at the Armitage County Park.

You can see that the sites are pretty well spaced and some shade is available. We had a very shady spot. And yes, it a handicap site but they were full otherwise and went ahead and let us have it.

The place cleared out on Sunday.

That's all dog park you see in the picture. AND there are a couple nice pools filled with water for the dogs to play in.

We really enjoyed our visit with our friends Lee & Coleen and wish we would have spent more time with them but to be honest I have just been beat to death with the allergy crap and everything we have done has been in short bursts followed by retreating inside the coach to recover with our eye drops and roll of toilet paper. Yup toilet paper for my nose. When my allergies kick in if we splurged on boxes of tissue we would go broke LOL!! The grass pollen index has been in the red for days. But we are happy we were able to camp with them one night this time around and visit with them in their new home part of one day.

We also made a visit to the Eugene Saturday market one morning. They have a great Farmers Market section.

Lots of Organic veggies and meats at the Eugene market.

And a couple separate sections full of crafty stuff along with a pretty good food court. And because Eugene is a college town and known to be a bit of a yuppie / hippy town I admit that I probably enjoy the people watching as much as anything else. It’s all good.

We also squeezed in a couple nice walks and bike rides along the river during our stay.

And of course when we are in this area Diane HAS to have her Cafe Yumm fix. (http://www.cafeyumm.com/) We got that out of the way pretty early in our visit because I hear about it 5 or 6 times a day until we do LOL!! It’s pretty good but certainly more of a Diane thing than my type of thing.

There turned out to be a small Ural rally at the campground over the weekend as well. I’m not much up on the Ural motorcycles but they were fun to look at even though other than paint they pretty much look the same and the guys that own them love to talk about them.

One thing that seemed to come up in conversation was that they have gotten a lot more reliable but I noticed most of them were trailered to the rally unless they were locals. Here are a couple links in case you are interested. And if you are like me they will teach you more about Ural’s than you ever knew. http://www.imz-ural.com/ ….. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IMZ-Ural

Because we are leaving here on Monday June 1st and don’t need to be in Portland for our 2nd round there until the 3rd we found a spot for just 2 nights that will provide an interesting tour of a museum. And it’s between here and Portland. Any guesses? Came back soon to find out LOL!!

I’m hoping my fall allergies are a thing of the past, as I stopped my allergy shots to go on the road. I had been on them for 20 plus years, and my allergist thought that was plenty long enough. If you get east to the high desert, will your allergies let up, Dave?

    Nice photos from your drone!

Diane did the shot thing also and it sure seems to have helped her. I only get it bad if the grass pollens are high. This is the worst I have had it since hitting the road 3 years ago that I can remember. Once we start heading east I should be fine. Not sure what it will be like in Idaho.

That’s a whole lotta carrots! Allergies have followed us from Arizona to here in Northern CA now. I guess the drought is really making allergies worse here.
