A mellow drive in the country.

Wednesday 7/2/14 was another mellow day with no real plans (The way they should be). So after a slow start to the day we loaded Jack up and headed out for a nice leisurely drive around the countryside to visit some of the spots we enjoyed while living in the area.

The temperatures only reached the low 90’s so it was a very pleasant day.

After our drive we stopped at Cartwright’s Valley Meat Company and picked up a couple T-Bones for dinner. If you are ever in the area Cartwright’s is the place to go for the best meat in Grants Pass. Not the cheapest by far but the best meat.

I will let the pictures do our talking on this update. And Thursday at 4pm we will be loading up for our Jet Boat ride down the Rouge River with a few friends passing through some of the same areas in these pictures. (Speaking of pictures, I have been playing around with a program so excuse any screw-ups or funky looks).

We are really looking forward to the ride and the meal at the OK Corral!! That should be a fun update so be sure to check back.

  1. Like what you are doing with the pictures. You said you have been playing around with a program. If you don’t mind us asking, what program or is this something within WordPress that you are using? What ever you are doing the pictures look good.

I’ve done a couple things. I bought a couple filters for my lens and I have been messing around with a program called Roxio Pro. Between them both I REALLY don’t know what I’m doing LOL!!

  2. I’m feeling mellow just looking at the pictures! Looks like a great area of this country. Like the photo effects, too! Happy Fourth!

Glad you like them. And it really is a great area. We said when we left here that it was going to be hard to find places any better. There is snow skiing close by, lakes and rivers, mountains, yet close enough to the ocean for a easy day trip. And it’s a small town yet close to larger towns if needed. It snows very little in the winter but it does get pretty chilly and wet, otherwise it would be close to perfect.
