It seems we are still here,,, so the world didn’t come to a end. I guess if the Mayan’s didn’t predict that the Spanish were coming why would we think they could have predicted the end of the world.
And Diane and I are still here,,, out in the desert that is!! What was going to be 2 nights in the desert for a test run of the new solar we had installed has turned into 6 nights now. We have really enjoyed being out here. So much in fact that I asked Diane if she wanted to head on to Desert Hot Springs to spend the holidays in a nice resort and her answer was,,, no,, why don’t we get a spot in town for 2 nights and catch up on laundry, dump the tanks and take on more water and find another spot in the desert to camp for 6 more days!!! That’s my girl!!!
We do have reservations in Desert Hot Springs for 2 weeks starting on Jan. 1st so we will be sure to move on at that point.
So the plan is to head to a park in Quartzsite Monday. Spend Monday and Tuesday there and participate to a Christmas pot luck at the park on the 25th then head to another dry camping area about 5 miles out of town until Jan 1st.
The town of Quartzsite has been growing every since we arrived. More and more vendors have been setting up shop and more and more Rvers have been setting up in the desert. It’s far from packed but it is showing signs of growth. And some people really set up shop.
That’s it for now!! So once again Merry Christmas!!!! And remember,,,
